Why This Blog?

Erin Deleon-Ahumada: I recently moved to the USA, and usually when I meet someone new, I am asked where I come from. When I say Guatemala, sometimes people want me to describe my country, not an easy task as my homeland is a bit complex, so I decided to share it with everyone byway of a journey. Join me as we discover its vast cultures, history, rich folklore, pristine nature, exquisite gastronomy, and its friendly people. I hope this journey will honor my country, my paisanos, and my Maya-Mestizo-White heritage.
